— FAQ —

Questions we hear a lot.

How often should I have my septic tank pumped?
For most households, every 3–5 years is the right rhythm — though it depends on tank size, the number of people in the home, and how much water you use. When we pump your tank we'll measure sludge and scum levels and recommend a schedule that fits your actual usage.
What are the signs my septic system needs repair?
Slow drains, gurgling pipes, sewage odors indoors or out, soggy patches or unusually green grass above the drain field, alarms going off on aerobic systems, or backups at the lowest fixture in the house. Any one of those is worth a phone call.
What's the difference between aerobic and conventional septic systems?
A conventional system relies on gravity and the soil's natural ability to absorb effluent through a drain field. An aerobic system adds oxygen to break waste down more thoroughly, then sprays treated effluent over a designated area. Aerobic systems are required by law in much of our area where soils don't absorb well, and they require ongoing maintenance contracts.
Do you offer emergency septic services in the area?
Yes — same-day response is available across our service area during business hours. If you've got sewage backing up or an alarm sounding, call us right away at (936) 258-3080 and we'll work you into the schedule.
What does a septic maintenance contract include?
A standard contract covers the quarterly inspections required by Texas for aerobic systems: checking the air pump, sprayers, chlorinator, control panel, and effluent quality. We file the reports with your county and let you know if anything needs attention before it becomes a bigger problem.
